For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.Jeremiah 29:11-13
1One day Jesus taught the apostles to keep praying and never stop or lose hope. He shared with them this illustration: 2“In a certain town there was a judge, a thick-skinned and godless man who had no fear of others’ opinions. 3And in the same town there was a poor widow who kept pleading with the judge, ‘Grant me justice and protect me from my oppressor!’ 4-5“He ignored her pleas for quite some time, but she kept asking. Eventually he said to himself, ‘This widow keeps annoying me, demanding her rights, and I’m tired of listening to her. Even though I’m not a religious man, and I don’t care about the opinions of others, I’ll get her off my back by answering her claims for justice and I’ll rule in her favor. Then she’ll leave me alone.’ ” 6Jesus continued, “Did you hear what the godless judge said—that he would answer her persistent request? 7Don’t you know that God, the true judge, will grant justice to all his chosen ones who cry out to him night and day? He will pour out his Spirit upon them. He will not delay to answer you and give you what you ask for. 8God will give swift justice to those who don’t give up. So be ever praying, ever expecting, in the same way as the widow. Even so, when the Son of Man comes back, will he find this kind of undying faith on earth?”Luke 18:1-8
Interesting question at the end there: Yet, when the Son of Man comes back, will he find this kind of persistent faithfulness in his people?
Jesus is asking, will he find a people with the persistent faithfulness, whose prayers:
- Speak to their own personal needs?
- Speak to the advancement of God’s Kingdom?
- AND, bring before the Righteous Judge, every trespass, every violation, and every attack of the adversary?
You see, when the adversary comes against us, all we need to do is seek with all our heart the Righteous Judge of the universe, declaring his word and promises to us, and request judgements against the accusations from our accuser. We tend to forget that, and only speak to our own personal needs, and speak to the advancement of God’s Kingdom. Yes, we need to be praying for both those, BUT ALSO, petitioning heaven for judgements against an enemy, who even though is defeated, still accuses us and brings reproaches against us, using deceitful tactics like blood line curses we’re not even aware of, and many other tactics, including some that need spiritual discernment to uncover. The scripture above says “He will pour out his Spirit upon them”, you see, there is a need for that, it is so that we can uncover hidden sin and ask forgiveness.
Now we also know that communion is a prophetic act: A prophetic act is a Holy Spirit-inspired physical action that disrupts the atmosphere. A prophetic act reveals a heart submitted to God. A prophetic act is a declaration of the promises of God with a faith that knows, an answer will be attained, because the Word of God says it. It’s a prophetic act that carries forgiveness of sin, so that we are washed and cleansed of any foothold the enemy thinks he has on us.
Get communion elements ready and read on below, partake, and pray the prayer given.
Prepare your heart to receive blessings from your prophetic act.
For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’ In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.’ For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.1 Corinthians 11:23-26
- Let’s eat our bread. Thank you Jesus, for your body broken for us!
- And now, let’s drink from the cup. Thank you Jesus for your covenant to us!
Father, “We have the peace that surpasses all understanding”, according to Your Word in Phillipians 4:7. So, we remind ourselves that we can walk in Your peace no matter what circumstances surround us, because we have You, our Righteous Judge of all the universe, to call upon at any moment, and bring before You, every trespass, every violation, and every attack of the adversary. We come before You with faith, persistence, and Your Word, Father God. We remind the enemy that Jesus paid for it ALL on the cross. Father, thank you for hearing our prayers right now, but firstly we repent before You of any legal thing the enemy has against us or our families, reveal by Your Spirit, Lord God, any areas, so that we can claim Jesus’ blood of the covenant, which was poured out for us all for the forgiveness of sins, right now over that area, then, Lord, I remind You that according to Colossians 2:14, every handwriting of ordinances, every case against us, has been dismissed and taken out of the way, having been nailed to the cross of Jesus. On the basis of this from Your Word, Lord, let every trespass, every violation, and every attack of the adversary be revoked and removed right now.
Holy Spirit, we offer up to You anything that is weighing heavily on anyone’s hearts today. We take this physical action of communion as a way to prophesy breakthrough over our lives. We take communion today as a prophetic act, declaring Your freedom and supernatural intervention into every area of our lives. Jesus, today we partook of Your body, commanding everything in our bodies to line up with Heaven, right now, in your mighty name, and we WILL see your Glory revealed. Jesus, we partook of Your blood, celebrating that no area of our lives needs to be in any form of disarray today. Breakthrough is at hand!
We are a new creation. We are Your greatly loved children. We walk in victory. We are not a victim to any of the schemes of the enemy. We are cleansed by the blood of Jesus. We are covered by the resurrection power of Jesus who sits on the throne at the right hand of the Father. The devil has been defeated; all authority has been stripped from him and returned to Jesus. We live from a place of triumph with Christ.
Jesus, You gave Your life so that we could truly live, and we are forever grateful! AMEN.
